EXPÉRIENCE DE GESTION
Mon style de gestion est basé la collégialité et l’encouragement à la participation. Dans un souci d’équité et d’évaluation juste, je consulte les pairs et j’utilise une rigueur de gestion basée sur des résultats concrets et des données probantes. Je présente ici les principales réalisations des équipes que j’ai dirigées à titre de gestionnaire.
Directeur – École d’optométrie
• Refonte du programme du doctorat professionnel en optométrie (OD)
• Construction d’une nouvelle clinique universitaire de la vision
• Mise en place de stages de formation pratique dans les milieux hospitaliers et dans les cliniques privées (formation interprofessionnelle)
• Agrément du programme OD pour une période de huit ans
• Renouvellement d’une Chaire industrielle CRSNG-Essilor
• Recrutement de jeunes chercheurs:
o Chaire de recherche du Canada de niveau 2 o Chercheurs boursiers
• Formation par des projets sociétaux :
o Création du centre l’Extension – services en éducation et santé pour des enfants issus de milieux défavorisés
o Création d’une clinique mobile de soins oculovisuels pour les sans-abri de la grande région de Montréal
o Création du centre de lecture universitaire d’image de fond d’œil – dépistage chez les membres des Premières Nations (23 communautés).
Subvention du MSSS.
• Création d’un laboratoire de formation par la réalité virtuelle
• Dons philanthropiques totalisant environ 4 millions de dollars Directeur adjoint à la recherche – École d’optométrie
• Création du PhD en Sciences de la vision
• Subvention d’infrastructure de recherche du MDEIE – 3,3 millions de dollars.

Tout au long de ma carrière, j’ai œuvré au développement de la recherche et à la formation de chercheurs par la création de structures favorisant la collaboration et l’émergence de masses critiques nécessaires à la réalisation d’activités de recherche et partenariales novatrices.
