Preface

The international conference on User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization (UMAP) is a forum for

researchers and practitioners who are investigating techniques for adapting systems to the demands of individual users or groups of users. This adjunct proceedings bundle the descriptions of demos and posters that are

presented in UMAP 2012. 15 papers were submitted to this track, with 10 of them accepted (3 demos and 7 posters) after peer-reviewing. The demos present innovative UMAP-based systems and research prototypes. The posters give original and unpublished accounts of late-breaking results, innovative work in progress, or research that is ideally communicated in an interactive or graphical format.

We are grateful to the members of the Program Committee of UMAP 2012 for their support and reviews. We thank all authors who submitted articles to the UMAP Demo and Poster track.
