G U I D E L I N E S F O R A U T H O R S

Manuscripi Style. Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the third edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (1983). Full-length articles should not exceed 20 pages o f double-s p a c e d , typewritten c o p y i n c l u d i n g references, tables, a n d figures. Counselling practice articles should not exceed 12 pages of double-spaced, typewritten copy. Bnef reports should not exceed six pages of double-spaced, typewritten copy.

Abstracts. Each article or brief report must be accompanied by two abstracts, one in French a n d one in English. Abstracts should be about IOO words in length a n d typed o n a separate page. Authors submitting an abstract in one language only should include a cheque for $25.00 payable to: Editor, Canadian Journal of Counselling to pay for translation. Cheques are not refundable. Tables, charts, graphs and illustrations must be camera-ready.

Cover sheets. For each copy o f the manuscript submitted, authors should include a cover sheet which shows the title o f the manuscript, the authors' names and institutional affiliations, a n d the date of manuscript submission. Authors not affiliated with an institution should provide current addresses in full. T h e author's name and address to whom reprint requests are to be addressed should also be included.

Coptes. Four copies (original and three photocopies) of the manuscript should be submitted. A l l copies should be clear, readable, proofed, a n d on paper of good quality. Authors are advised to keep a copy of the manuscript to guard against loss.

Review and editorial decision All articles are submitted to blind review. Reviewers' comments contribute to editorial decision whether or not to publish a n d provide useful suggestions for manuscript revisions. Authors are advised not to submit to this journal any manuscript which is concurrendy under consideration by another j o u r n a l ; not to submit a manuscript which has been published in whole or in substantial part in another journal.

Style du manuscrit Les manuscrits doivent ê t r e conformes au style de la 3e édition (1983) du Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (1983). Les articles généraux ne doivent pas d é p a s s e r 20 pages dactylo-g r a p h i é e s à double interlidactylo-gne, y compris r é f é r e n c e s , tableaux et illustrations. Pour ceux sur la pratique d u counseling, ne pas dépasser 12 pages d a c t y l o g r a p h i é e s à double interligne. Les rapports sommaires ne doivent pas dépasser 6 pages dactylo-graphiées à double interligne.

Résumés. Chaque article ou rapport sommaire doit être a c c o m p a g n é de deux r é s u m é s , français et anglais. Les r é s u m é s doivent contenir à peu près 100 mots et ê t r e d a c t y l o g r a p h i é s sur une feuille séparée. Si vous le soumettez dans une seule des langues, p r i è r e d'inclure un c h è q u e (non remboursable) pour 25,00 $ émis au nom du R é d a c t e u r , Revue canadienne de counseling pour frais de traduction. Tous tableaux, illustrations et graphiques doivent ê t r e prêts pour la c a m é r a .

Pages de garde Chaque exemplaire du manuscrit soumis par l'auteur doit ê t r e a c c o m p a g n é d'une page de garde indiquant le titre du manuscrit, le n o m et l'affiliation du/des auteurs et la date de soumission. Les auteurs qui ne sont pas affiliés à une institution doivent inscrire leur adresse actuelle au c o m p l e t Le n o m et l'adresse de l'auteur auquel doivent ê t r e adressées les demandes de tirés à part doivent aussi ê t r e indiqués.

Nombre d'exemplaires. Quatre exemplaires (originale et trois photocopies) d u manuscrit doivent ê t r e soumis. T o u s les exemplaires doivent ê t r e clairs, lisibles, c o r r i g é s et sur papier de bonne qualité. Il est r e c o m m a n d é que l'auteur se garde une copie du manuscrit en cas de perte en cours de route.

Evaluation et décision rédactionnelle. Tous les articles sont envoyés anonymement à des lecteurs. Les commentaires des lecteurs contribuent à la décision du r é d a c t e u r en chef quant à la publication ou non d'un article, ainsi qu'aux recommandations de révision adressées à l'auteur. L'auteur est prié de s'abstenir de soumettre un article qui a déjà é t é soumis à une autre revue, ni de soumettre un manuscrit déjà publié en tout ou en partie dans une autre publication.
