ERRATUM TO “ ˆA-GENUS ON NON-SPIN MANIFOLDS WITH S1 ACTIONS AND THE CLASSIFICATION OF

POSITIVE QUATERNION-K ¨AHLER 12-MANIFOLDS”

Hayde´e Herrera & Rafael Herrera

The article “ ˆA-genus on non-spin manifolds with S1 actions and the classification of positive quaternion-K¨ahler 12-manifolds” [3] contains an error in Lemma 2 of Part I, since an assumption on the finiteness of the second homotopy group is not sufficient to reach the desired conclusion. This error stems from an incorrect application of Theorem V in [2], and we thank M. Amann and A. Dessai for pointing it out (see [1]).

An additional hypothesis of finiteness of the fourth homotopy group proves to be enough to correct Lemma 2 and, therefore, Theorems 1 and 3 that depend on it. We also thank M. Amann and A. Dessai [1]

for this observation.

On the other hand, Theorem 2 depends on the original version of Theorem 1 and, therefore, its proof is not complete. We note that the fourth homotopy group of the real Grassmannian of oriented 4-planes inR7, a positive quaternion-K¨ahler 12-manifold, is not finite.

Lichnerowicz [Li71, 72] proved the following interesting fibration theorem: if X is a compact K¨ ahler manifold with semipositive Ricci class, then X is a smooth fibration over

The following simple example shows, even in the case of a locally trivial fibration, that the structure group of transition automorphisms need not be a group of isometries, in

In case −K X is pseudo-effective the answer to (4.13.a) is positive at least in the case of submersions but with a slightly stronger assumption than in (4.13.a), replacing the

In this paper we establish the following Kawamata-Viehweg type vanishing theorem on a compact K¨ahler manifold or, more generally, a normal compact K¨ ahler space..

As a consequence, we are able to prove one of the basic conjectures in the classification of projective algebraic varieties – a subject which Guido Fano contributed to in many ways :

Projective variety, K¨ ahler manifold, Hodge theory, positive current, Monge- Amp`ere equation, Lelong number, Chern connection, curvature, Bochner-Kodaira tech- nique,

The proof relies on a clever iteration procedure based on the Ohsawa-Takegoshi L 2 extension theorem, and a convergence process of an analytic nature (no algebraic proof at present

The idea is to show the existence of a 4-dimensional complex torus X = C 4 /Λ which does not contain any analytic subset of positive dimension, and such that the Hodge classes of
