Maison Française d’Oxford

History of Science, Technology and Medicine Visiting Senior Research Fellowship

Hilary Term 2019

A Visiting Fellowship is offered each year in Hilary Term (January to March) at the Maison Française in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine.

Applications for 2019 (a research proposal – maximum 1000 words – with a CV in French and English) should be sent before the 1st of July 2018 to the Committee for the History of Science at the Maison Française d’Oxford (secretary@mfo.ac.uk). Applicants should have a permanent academic/research position in France.

The Visiting Fellow will take part in the research programme of the Maison Française in collaboration with the Oxford Centre for the History of Science, Medicine and

Technology. She/he is expected to give a seminar at the Centre and a public lecture at the Maison Française.

During her/his stay (one term), the Visiting Fellow will have free accommodation at the Maison Française, office space and access to Oxford libraries. The travel cost will be paid (one return ticket).

Histoire des sciences et des techniques Hilary Term (Janvier-Mars) 2019

La Maison Française d’Oxford souhaite accueillir annuellement des chercheurs invités dans le domaine de l’histoire des sciences et des techniques pendant Hilary term,

traditionnellement entre janvier et mars du calendrier universitaire de l’université d’Oxford.

Les candidatures pour 2019 (un court projet de recherche -maximum 1000 mots - et un CV, en français et en anglais) sont à envoyer avant le 1er juillet 2018 à l’intention du Comité d’histoire des sciences de la Maison Française d’Oxford qui les examinera (secretary@mfo.ac.uk). Ce programme s’adresse aux candidat(e)s titulaires d’un poste permanent en France.

Le chercheur invité prendra part aux activités scientifiques de la Maison Française en collaboration avec le Centre for the History of Science, Medicine and Technology de l’université d’Oxford. Elle/il donnera un séminaire au Centre ainsi qu’une conférence publique à la Maison Française.

Pendant la durée de son séjour, elle/il disposera d’un logement sur place, d’un poste de travail ainsi que de l’accès aux bibliothèques d’Oxford. Le trajet (un aller-retour) sera également pris en charge dans le cadre de ce programme.
