THE STANDARD

The National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace (the Standard) was launched in 2013. Championed by Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) and developed by CSA Group and the Bureau de normalisation du Québec, the Standard is a voluntary set of guidelines, tools and resources focused on promoting employees’ psychological health and preventing psychological harm at work.

Following more than

30 organizations across Canada as they adopt the Standard, this three-year national research study is expected to identify promising practices, challenges, barriers, costs and impact associated with implementation.

A research team has been selected to evaluate and document how organizations are implementing the Standard and its impact. Additionally, an expert panel will be providing practical implementation advice to organizations through their journey.
