APTP+MS’2018, 12th International Workshop on Applied Problems in Theory of Probabilities and Mathematical Statistics (Summer Session)

in the framework of the Conference on Information and Telecommunication Technologies and Mathematical Modeling of High-Tech Systems

October 22–27, 2018, Lisbon, Portugal

The12th International Workshop on Applied Problems in Theory of Probabilities and Mathematical Statistics (Summer Session) in the framework of the Conference on Information and Telecommunication Technologies and Mathematical Modeling of High-Tech Systems has been conducted jointly by Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), University of Lisbon and Federal Research Center “Computer Science and Control” of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Workshop was held from 22 to 27 October, 2018 at the University of Lisbon (Lisbon, Portugal).

The Workshop aimed to discuss contemporary issues of applied probability theory, stochastic processes, mathematical statistics, stochastic analysis, queuing theory in their application to the performance analysis and quality of service in 5G networks.

The Workshop continued the tradition of the Conference on mathematics, computer science and mathematical modeling problems, annually held in the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), starting almost from the moment of its foundation. Information and communications technologies, as a component of information and telecommunication systems, refer to the priority areas of science, technology and engineering in the Russian Federation, and the development of high-tech systems and the improvement of information and telecommunication technologies is impossible without the development and application of mathematical models of their functioning. The aim of the conference is to bring together Russian and foreign universities, academic and branch institutes, research centers, interested companies and commercial companies on development and lessons learned, identify the most relevant areas of research in the field of information and communication technologies, mathematical modeling, artificial intellect and other important directions for the development of scientific research and scientific and technical developments.
