Today is Jane’s birthday.
« Happy birthday » say mummy and daddy as they come to her bedroom and kiss her.
« There are some presents for you downstairs », says Mummy. So Jane gets up at once, washes and goes down. She opens the door of the living room and she sees many birthday cards from her friends.
In the afternoon, there’s a birthday party. At three o’clock, Jane’s friends arrive. Then Mrs Morgan calls the boys to the dining room where a big birthday cake is ready for them;
There’re twelve red candles on it. Then someone knocks at the door. It’s Jane’s aunt. She comes with a present; It’s a record, a song that Jane likes very much. After tea, they play the record and sing songs and play games until they go back home.
« Thank you Jane. The party is lovely », say her friends.
