The authors regret an error in their article. In Figure

the incorrect compound plot was submitted in error when a higher resolution version was requested following review. The figure below is the correct compound plot for GDGT-IIIb. The original caption has also been corrected to GDGT-IIIb instead of GDGT-IIIB. These corrections do not affect the conclusions of the paper and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. The authors regret any inconvenience that this has caused.
