Abstract

This book collected the paper of shuang-ren Zhao about the electro- magnetic eld theory photonics based on the mutual energy principle and self-energy principle. From this books we can nd that how the concept mutual energy developed to become a complete new electromagnetic eld theory and photonics based on the mutual energy principle and self-energy principle.

1 Introduction

This book collected the electromagnetic eld theory and photonics based on the mutual energy principle and self-energy principle. Shuang-ren introduce the concept of mutual energy in 1987-1989. In this period he published 3 papers about mutual energy theorem and inner product of electromagnetic waves, in- cluded the sphere and plane wave expansion. 30 years later in 2015, he noticed the paper of Welch about the time-domain reciprocity theorem. Welch's paper published in 1960 and is the inverse Fourier transform of the mutual energy theorem. Shuang-ren Zhao thought Welch did not said his theorem is a energy theorem, the only important dierence between Zhao's paper and Welch's paper is the formula is a reciprocity theorem or energy theorem. The same formula it is true a reciprocity theorem, but shuang-ren Zhao thought it also a energy theorem. In order to prove his thought, shuang-ren Zhao begin to prove the mu- tual energy theorem is a sub-theorem of Poynting theorem. Poynting theorem is accept as an energy theorem, the sub-theorem of Poynting theorem will be true as an energy theorem. 2015 Shuang-ren Zhao proved that the mutual energy theorem is the sub-theorem of Poynting theorem. Afterword, Shuang-ren Zhao try to unied all the theorem reciprocity theorem and mutual energy theorem based on the Poynting theorem. In this work he found that mutual energy theorem can direct derived as a sub-theorem from Poynting theorem, but to derived Lorentz reciprocity theorem from Poynting theorem need an additional

step which is the conjugate transform. The conjugate transform converts the re- tarded wave to advanced wave and vice-versa. From this he noticed that Lorentz reciprocity theorem is only a transform of the mutual energy theorem. Even Lorentz reciprocity has much more application in electromagnetic eld theory, it is a dummy theory. The mutual energy theory or Welch's reciprocity theorem is trueborn theory. Since the conjugate transform involved the advanced wave, Shuang-ren Zhao begin to learn the advanced wave. Shuang-ren Zhao noticed the absorber theory of Wheeler and Feynman. The view of point about absorber and advanced wave shocked him. He learned that if without the absorbers in the earth the sun cannot radiate its light! He also learned a current sends half retarded wave and half advanced wave. Hence, he realized that the advanced wave in the mutual energy theorem or in the Welch theorem is a real wave.

Shuang-ren Zhao derived the mutual energy ow theorem in 2015. This theorem, this is his triumph after 30 years ago derived the mutual energy the- orem. This theorem tell us the energy is through the mutual energy ow go from transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna and from the emitter to the absorber. Mutual energy ow is thin in the two ends which is the emitter and the absorber. Mutual energy ow is thick in the middle between the emitter and absorber and hence it can go through the two slits simultaneously in the double-slit experiment. The mutual energy ow looks like a photon!

Shuang-ren Zhao begin to apply the mutual energy ow to interpret the photon. One thing still confuses Shuang-ren Zhao. If energy is transferred by the mutual energy ow what does the self-energy ow. The self-energy ow is corresponding the energy ow of the Poynting theorem of single charge. He think this self-energy ow perhaps has a wave collapse and hence also contribute to the energy transfer from emitter to the absorber. However how the self-energy ow perhaps will collapse to another absorber dierent to the absorber received the mutual energy ow. That is very strange. If the self-energy ow collapse to the same absorber of the mutual energy ow, how the self-energy ow knows which absorber it should collapse to? Hence I thought perhaps the self-energy ow not collapse, but it returned to the emitter, we can also say the self-energy ow collapse back to the emitter. This is because he has found that the mutual energy can transfer energy from emitter to the absorber, the self-energy is not necessary to collapse. 2016 he nished this kind work.

In 2017 April, if the mutual energy theorem or Welch's theorem widen to the N charges instead only two charges, it is sure a energy conservation law. It is much easy to notice that the mutual energy theorem is a energy conservation law in the formula of N charge compare to the situation of 2 charges. If mutual energy theorem of N charge is the energy conservation law, it should be derived from Maxwell equations. Shuang-ren Zhao try to do that found it is not possible.

We cannot derive the energy conservation law from Maxwell equations together with superposition principle, unless all self-energy items are all zero. However that is not possible, if all self-energy items is 0 the electromagnetic eld also 0 that is not a accept solution. We need a no 0 solution. However when he apply the wave collapse back, every thing is ne the paradox is solved. Hence, he introduced the self-energy principle. The self-energy principle introduce a new

kind of electromagnetic eld which is time-reversal eld corresponding to the retarded wave and the advanced wave. Hence, there are 4 waves instead of only one wave or two waves. The 4 waves are the retarded wave, the advanced wave and two corresponding time-reversal wave. The time-reversal wave satisfy the time-reversal Maxwell equations. The time-reversal Maxwell equation is not the Maxwell equations. Hence, photon can be described as a system of two charge the emitter and the absorber. The waves for a photon are the retarded wave, the advanced wave and 2 time-reversal wave corresponding to the retarded wave and the advanced wave. If photon has 4 waves, it is easy to think all other particle for example the electron is also with 4 waves.

After the introduce of the self-energy principle, Shuang-ren Zhao also intro- duced the mutual energy principle. The mutual energy principle is not necessary, however with it the electromagnetic eld theory will be simplied greatly. Mu- tual energy principle will automatically ask there must exist at least two groups of Maxwell equations, one is for the retarded wave, and the other is for the ad- vanced wave. If we use the mutual energy principle as axiom, the superposition principle can be combined together to the mutual energy principle. Hence at least two group Maxwell equation, superposition principle and text described about exist of the advanced wave are all merged to one mutual energy principle.

After we have the mutual energy principle, Shuang-ren Zhao applied the 2 new principle or two axioms to interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Shuang-ren Zhao also proved without the self-energy principle the super- position principle with the test charge and the superposition without the test charge cannot be unied.

Shuang-ren Zhao also applied the mutual energy ow to the Feynman path integral. The path integral with innite integral is updated as streamline inte- gral which is only a surface integral.

This book collected all his papers about the concept mutual energy include mutual energy theorem, mutual energy ow theorem, mutual energy principle and self-energy principle.

Most of the article has been upload on the arxiv.org, some time later arxiv.org do not allow me upload, I upload the paper to vixra.org. However, in this boo there is some paper which are st appear to public.
