Minister of Education

British Columbia Liberal Party

I have just a couple of very quick opening remarks. I would like to say that I am honoured to be here as the Minister of Education. It has been a passion of mine through all my public life, and I feel that this ministry and its goals and objectives are something that I am very passionate about. I have worked closely with staff up to this point, as a newly appointed minister, to see the tremendous opportunities that we have.

With that said, I think what we want to do is proceed with these deliberations, so I would just thank you, hon. Chair, for the opportunity. And to the colleagues opposite, I look forward to the discussion that we're going to have.
