TAKING PICTURE OF YOUR ARTWORK
Taking good pictures of your Artworks is a key to boost your sales on Gallery Crillon as it will help art collectors to perceive your painting in a more realistic way.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to take professional quality pictures of your paintings while keeping a low budget in photography materials.
We will review the 4 main points that can have an important impact on the quality of your picture :
● Lighting
● Camera Positioning
● Camera Adjustment
● Photo Editing
Lighting
Use the natural light as much as possible to get a perfect color balance. If possible, try to shoot your art in a studio with large windows. You can also shoot your artwork outdoor during cloudy days.
Restrain the use of flash or harsh direct lighting as it can distort the natural color balance or your painting and create undesired shadows or reflections.
Camera Positioning
The lense of your camera must be parallel to the painting to avoid distortion. Use a tripod to have a perfect stability and avoid blurring.
Do not move while taking
the picture - Use a tripod or flat level surface to keep your camera stable while taking the picture
- Make sure that the lens of the camera are parallel to the painting
Camera Adjustment
With a compact camera, professional camera or high picture quality smartphone :
● Set your camera to have the highest quality settings
● Adjust the ISO between 100-200 to limit noise and to get finer grain
● Make sure your camera lens is clear and clean
● Turn off the flash
● Be sure that the white balance is adjusted. The white you see in your camera has to match the white you see in real. Adjust the setting of your camera if necessary.
● Use the self timer option if available. The self timer create a delay between the moment you press the shutter and the moment the picture is taken, so your picture will be shot when your camera is perfectly stable.
● Fix the aperture of your camera to F/8
Finally, before to take the picture, keep only a tiny space around the edges of your artwork in the screen of your camera to maximize the resolution as shown below :
We also recommend to take several close-up shots on different part of your artworks to help collectors seeing more clearly your painting style :
Photo Editing
After taking the pictures, you can make it look more real by adjusting the following settings:
● Colors
● Contrast
● Brightness
Keep in mind that your pictures must be as close as how it looks as the original artwork!
If you shot with a compact or professional camera, you can edit the picture directly on your camera or through a software like Adobe Lightroom, Skylum Luminar, Picasa, iPhoto or other renowned photo editing softwares.
If you shot with your smartphone, there is a plenty of applications that can make your picture look great such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop Express, Snapseed, etc.
Be careful not to process you picture excessively. If collectors aren’t able to recognize the medium or the quality of the work, they will unlikely order it.
Once your proceed your editing, save the image as JPEG file.
Uploading Your Pictures on Gallery Crillon
When you upload your art picture on Gallery Crillon :
● JPEG file in RGB color format
● Minimum quality
○ Square Painting : 1500 pixels x 1500 pixels
○ Vertical / Horizontal Painting : 1200 pixels x 1500 pixels
● Maximum quality : 30MB
Don’t forget to crop your picture to make it cleaner. Remove artwork borders, blank space, mats, etc :

PHOTOGRAPHIER MON OEUVRE
Afin que les collectionneurs puissent apprécier totalement vos oeuvres sur Gallery Crillon, celles-ci
doivent être mises en valeur par des photos de haute qualité.
Ce tutoriel vous propose des moyens simples et peu coûteux pour faire valoir au mieux vos tableaux.
Voici les 4 paramètres déterminants pour le rendu de vos photos :
● L ’éclairage
● Le positionnement de votre appareil photo
● Le réglage de votre appareil photo
● L’ édition
L’ éclairage
Privilégiez la lumière naturelle afin de conserver un bon équilibre des couleurs. Photographiez si possible votre oeuvre dans un studio aux larges vitres. Vous pouvez également réaliser vos clichés en extérieur, mais par ciel couvert (Attention ! Soleil = risque de reflets/ombres).
Évitez le flash ou les éclairages directs : vous risqueriez de dénaturer les couleurs de votre tableau et de créer des ombres ou reflets indésirables.
Le positionnement de votre appareil photo
La lentille de votre appareil photo doit être parallèle à votre peinture et centrée sur celle-ci afin d'éviter les effets de distorsion. Lors de la prise des photos, l’utilisation d’un trépied vous offrira une parfaite stabilité et garantira ainsi la netteté de vos clichés.
Réglage de votre appareil photo
Utilisez une appareil photo compact / professionnel ou un smartphone haut de gamme
● Réglez votre appareil sur la plus haute qualité de définition
● Ajuster l’ISO entre 100 et 200 afin de limiter le bruit numérique et d’obtenir un grain plus fin
● Veillez à ce que l’objectif soit parfaitement propre
● Désactiver le flash
● Assurez vous du bon réglage de la balance des couleurs. Vérifiez pour cela que le blanc que vous voyez à travers votre objectif est identique à l’original.
● Utilisez l’option “Retardateur” si celle-ci est disponible ; ainsi, le délai entre le déclenchement et la prise de la photo vous assurera une parfaite stabilité d’image.
● Réglez l’ouverture sur F/8
Avant de prendre votre photo, veillez à ne laisser qu’un faible espace entre votre oeuvre et les bords de l'écran de l’appareil ; la résolution en sera ainsi optimisée :
Nous vous recommandons également de réaliser plusieurs photos en gros plan sur différentes parties de votre oeuvre afin de permettre aux collectionneurs de pleinement saisir votre style artistique.
Édition de votre photo
Vous pouvez améliorer le rendu de votre photo en ajustant les paramètres suivants :
● Couleurs
● Contraste
● Luminosité
Gardez à l’esprit que le rendu de votre photo doit être fidèle à votre tableau original ! Attention à ne pas dénaturer votre oeuvre par un excès d'édition.
Si vous utilisez un appareil photo numérique, vous pouvez éditer votre photo directement sur votre appareil ou à l’aide de logiciels tels que “Adobe Lightroom”, “Skylum Luminar”, “Picasa”, “iPhoto” etc.
Si vous utilisez votre smartphone, les applications disponibles sont nombreuses : “Adobe Lightroom”,” Photoshop Express”, “Snapseed”, etc.
Une fois l’édition terminée, sauvegardez votre photo au format JEPG.
Télécharger votre photo sur Gallery Crillon
Lorsque vous téléchargez votre photo via votre compte artiste sur Gallery Crillon, veillez à respecter les points suivants :
● Photo au format JPEG
● Qualité minimale requise :
○ Peinture carrée : 1500 pixels x 1500 pixels
○ Peinture horizontale ou verticale: 1200 pixels x 1500 pixels
● Qualité maximale admise : 30MB
N’oubliez pas de détourer votre photo si des éléments “parasites” apparaissent (bords de cadre, espace blanc, passe-partout, etc).

このガイドラインでは、お金をかける事なく今お持ちのスマートフォンカメラ及びデジタルカメラなどでよりプロ フェッショナルに作品の写真を綺麗に取る方法についてご紹介いたします。
作品の写真の質に重要な影響を与える4つのポイントが以下となります。
● 照明（ライティング）
● カメラ位置
● カメラ調整
● 写真編集
照明（ライティング）
できるだけ自然光を使用してください。可能であれば、大きな窓のあるスタジオで作品を撮影してみてくださ い。また、曇りの日に屋外で作品を撮影するのも良いでしょう。
フラッシュや過激な直射照明の使用は、自然なカラーバランスや絵画を歪めたり、望ましくない影や反射を生 じさせたりする可能性があるため、控えてください。
カメラの位置
カメラのレンズは、歪みを避けるために、絵画と平行でなければなりません。三脚を使用して、完璧な安定性 を持ち、ブレを避けて撮ることをお勧めいたします。
写真を撮ってる最中に
動かないで下さい。 - 三脚または平らな水平線を利用してカメラを安定させた状態で撮ります。
- カメラのレンズが作品と平行であるか確認してください。
カメラの調整
コンパクトカメラ、プロ用カメラ、スマートフォンの高画質カメラで撮影の場合 :
● 最高画像品質で写真を撮れる様にカメラの各種設定を行う。
● 細かい粒度まではっきり写る様にISOを100-200の間で調整した上でノイズを制限する。
● カメラのレンズが汚れていないことを確認してください。
● フラッシュをオフにする。
● ホワイトのバランスが調整されていることを確認してください。カメラで見る白は、実際に見る白と一 致していなければなりません。必要に応じてカメラの設定を調整してください。
● 可能であれば、セルフタイマーオプションを使用してください。セルフタイマーは、シャッターを押して から写真が撮影されるまでの間に遅延を発生させるので、カメラが完全に安定した状態で写真が 撮影されます。
● カメラの絞り値をF/8に固定する。
最後に、写真を撮る前に、以下のイメージの様に、解像度を最大化するために、カメラの画面内のアートワー クの端の周りの小さなスペースだけを保持します。:
また、あなたの作品をより明確に見せるために、作品上の複数の異なる箇所をクローズアップで写真を撮 ることもお勧めします。:
写真編集
撮影後、以下のポイントを抑えることで、より現物に近い状態で見せることができます。
● 色
● コントラスト
● 明るさ
写真は、現物にできるだけ近いものでなければならないということを念頭に置いてください。
コンパクトカメラやプロ用のカメラで撮影した場合は、カメラで直接編集することもできます。また、Adobe Lightroom、Skylum Luminar、Picasa、iPhotoなどの有名な写真編集ソフトを使って編集して頂いても可能 です。
スマートフォンで撮影した場合、Adobe Lightroom、Photoshop Express、Snapseedなど、写真を綺麗に見 せることができるアプリがたくさんあります。
写真は編集しすぎないように気をつけてください。コレクターが作品の質を正しく認識できない場合、購入意 欲が薄れる可能性があります。
編集が完了しましたら、画像をJPEGファイルとして保存してください。
Gallery Crillon に写真のアップロード
Gallery Crillonにアートの写真をアップロードする際の確認事項です :
● RGBカラー形式のJPEGファイル
● 最低限の画像品質
○ 正方形の絵画 : 1500 pixels x 1500 pixels
○ 縦型・横型の絵画 : 1200 pixels x 1500 pixels
● 最大限の画像品質 : 30MB
写真を綺麗に撮る為に適切にクロップすることを忘れないでください。アートワークの境界線、余白、マットなどを 削除します：
