SYNOD FOLLOWUP ... our facilitators, the East Bronx Dean- ery representatives and interested parishioners are invited to a presentation of the "final" report by Sister Mary Ann, SC ... our report is due in May and this will be an opportunity for tweak- ing ... the SYNOD FOLLOWUP meeting will be on Saturday, May 7 at 3:30 pm until 4:45 pm in De Chantal Hall ... all are in- vited to the 5 pm Mass ... the "final" report will be posted on the website by April 24 for all to see and to consider.

During the Easter season, the church reads from the New Testament book, THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES ... this book is the exciting story of the developing church after the Ascension of Jesus ... the disciples of Jesus receive the gift of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost and begin the preaching and teaching of the Gospel throughout the Mediterranean world ... under the leaderships of Peter and Paul, people come to know about Jesus and they become Christians ... it is a fascinating and inspiring story filled with mystery, twists and turns, persecutions, trials, conversions just to mention a few chapters but it is how the Church began ... try reading the ACTS OF THE APOSTLES at home and learn how we, the church, began ... as we continue to be involved in the SYNOD, it is an interesting story and the Holy Spirit still guides and inspires us in 2022.
