The fifth annual meeting' of the Central African subregional Committee of the Association of African'Central Banks was held in Kinsha48 on 17 August 1975 under the chairmansh!p of CH!izen Mawakani saaibo, Directeur des Etudes in the Bangue du zatre, representing Governor Sambwa Pida Nbagui, chairman of the Sub- regional Committee, Who wah unable to attend.

The basic purpose of the meeting was to compare the experience of the two banks in the field of training.

Consideration of the documents submitted by the two banks, and the subsequent exchanges of views, demonstrated the Will of the senior officials of the banks to ontinue their activities in the field of staff training.

For BEAC, the need for such an institute was not yet felt, and the bank made use of specialized institutions outside for further training for its staff. Further- more, the staff also benefited from seminars organized in co-operation with the

International Monetary Fund and other central banks.

The two central ba~ks agreed to decide on the date and place of the next meeting of the Central African Subregional Committee in writing at n later date.
