Objective: To evaluate the influence of the temperature on honey colour, polyphenol and antimycotic capacity and to evaluate the correlation between these parameters. contents Methods: Sahara honey were heated up to 25, 50, 75 and 100 °C for 15, 30 and 60 min, and their ucoselodu rto i ndteetnesrimtyi,n ep otlhyep htoetnaol lp coolynptehnetnso al ncdo natnetnimts y(cToPtCi)c. powdered sugar remained on the top of frames, TC was not so much incorporated in honey than when TC was given in syrup; (iii) non-treated hives may be contaminated

We provided the foraging honey bees with a large flower array, allowed bees to naturally land on the array, and then counted how many bees visited and landed on focal flowers

Two likely candidates are indicated by dashed lines on the phylogeny of Figure 1 : the yellow ‘plains’ cavity nesting honey bee of south In- dia (Oldroyd et al., 2006 ), and the

Also, I checked each frame of worker comb in the lower two hive bodies of each colony’s hive to see if the bees had added a patch of drone comb, either within the wooden frame

In experiment 1, to follow the performances of bees through the whole procedure, we compared their responses on three given trials: (1) the first conditioning trial

Thus, although the EBV of the worker group and of a replacement queen are identical (Eq.  ( 8 )), accuracy of the EBV is lower for the replacement queen (Eq.  ( 10 )), because

Abstract – The toxicity of various concentrations of oxalic acid dihydrate (OA) in aqueous and sucrose solution to Varroa destructor and to honey bees (Apis mellifera) was
