To Keep a True Lent Is this a Fast, to keep The larder lean?

Lenten Activities STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Every Friday from March 4th until April 8th.
Stations at Lunchtime:
A group of faithful people gather at noon at Our Lady of Lourdes to pray the Stations.
This is a “grassroots” gathering with participants leading themselves through the prayer.
“Formal” Stations at 7:00 PM:
Our “formal” Stations of the Cross are held at 7:00 PM with presider, readers, and candle bearers. Here are the dates and locations:

Lenten Fasting & Abstinence
We’re encouraged to fast on Good Friday. People between 18 and 59 years old are permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.
People over the age of 14 abstain from meat (Any mammal or bird) on Fridays during Lent.
Those physically or mentally ill, pregnant or nursing, are excused.

Good Friday Concert benefiting St Anne by Musica Spei
Join us on April 15th at 7:30PM for our annual Good Friday Concert at St Anne. This performance will include organ and choir selections.
Dear St. Anne's/Lady of Lourdes Parishioners,
The BLD community would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of ourbrothers and sisters who donated to the Relief Goods collection effort we did on Feb 5th and 6th to benefit the Filipinos who were severely impacted by super typhoon Rai (Odette) that hit the Philippines late last year.On December 16th, 2021, super typhoon Rai (Odette), with wind speeds of up to 160 mph, devastated the southern and central Philippines. It left approximately 600,000 with no homes right before Christmas and amid the current COVID19 pandemic. The storm claimed over 400 lives and left thousands homeless. Approximately two million Filipinos are in need of help following the massive devastation.
Thanks to you, because of your generous donations, we were able to gather and pack 16 huge boxes of muchneeded relief items. The packed boxes were picked up on February20th, 2022. It will take about 2 months for the boxes to get to the Philippines but it's ok. Until now there are still areas where electricity is not yet restored. A lot of people are still not back to their homes. The boxes we sent will not only provide items that they really need but also give them hope.
Thank you for sharing God's blessings to those who are in dire need! May the good Lord bless you more abundantly. Please see attached photos of BLD members sorting the donated relief items. Thank you again for your love and support!

The St Anne budget excludes many expenses normally included in an operating budget (lawn care, a dedicated custodian salary and benefits, ect) which are now provided by volunteers and/or benefactor donation. The St Anne community is grateful for our volunteers and special donations, but realize this may not continue into the future.
