Context:
Blockchain is a fastest growing revolutionary technology that is expected to disrupt businesses
in key domains, including finance, energy, mobility, logistics, and insurance. It is secure by design and relies on well-known cryptographic algorithms to provide key properties, such as resistance to tampering, pseudo-anonymity, fault-tolerance, auditability, resilience, and non-repudiation. However, privacy remains a fundamental obstacle for individuals, organizations, and industries as features of the blockchain’s transparency and permanency. Anonymity and unlinkability of individuals’ identity and privacy of transaction are the crucial issues in a decentralized network.
In the current age of an online environment, Individuals have lost all control over how personal data in databases is becoming available to others. The problems of ‘identity and data fraud’ have been rising dramatically. This problem can be solved by Blockchain based solutions where Individual can develop the sovereign controller of their own identity credentials. Our objective is to develop an identity management system that will take advantage of the decentralized nature of the Ethereum Blockchain to allow for a balance between the ability for users to manage their own identities and for issuers to establish controls.
