Abstract

The aim of the present study was to determine the relationship the season and some physicochemical parameters in dairy camels (Camelus dromedarius). Seventy eight milk samples ( 39 in wet seasons vs 39 in dry seasons) from multiparous lactating she-camels in South East of Algeria were collected and subjected to the analysis through standard procedures to determine milk yield and some physicochemical parameters such as acidity, fat, protein and lactose contents. The results demonstrated that the season had a significant (p< 0.05) effect on acidity and fact contents. In contrast, the results showed there was no significant (p> 0.05) effect of the season on milk yield, protein and lactose contents. Moreover, the milk yield was negatively correlated with fat and protein but without significance (p > 0.05). However, a negative significant correlation (P < 0.05) between was found between fat and protein contents
