About Jean Monnet Module EUGLOBE

The Jean Monnet Module EUGLOBE (“The European Union as a Global Human Rights Actor”) aims to make a significant contribution to both the development of the academic field of EU studies and the practical use of knowledge on the EU by various non-academic users (civil servants, (sub)National Human Rights Institutions, legal practitioners, civil society) in Russia. Within this mission, a specific objective of this project – and Lobachevsky University of Nizhny Novgorod – is capacity-building for successful establishment and delivery of a Master’s degree in European Union and International Law that would promote its teaching and research excellence in EU studies.

About Jean Monnet Project EUSECU-POLE

The Jean Monnet Project “EU Approaches to Transnational Security Challenges: Focus on Policy Learning” (EUSECU-POLE) supported by the European Commission aims to enhance knowledge, promote discussion and policy learning of EU legal and policy responses to various transnational security challenges among various Russian audiences (academics, students, policy-makers, civil servants, legal practitioners, civil society). The Project is implemented by Lobachevsky University of Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) in partnership with University of Strasbourg (France) and University Paris-13.

The key project events are executive training ‘The European Union against Transnational Security Challenges: Legal Framework, Policies and Practices’ organized at the University of Strasbourg on 16-19 October 2017 and the Conference ‘Approaches of the European Union and Russia to Transnational Security Challenges’ organized at Lobachevsky University on 24-26 May 2018.

_______________________________________________________________________________

The Conference is supported by the European Commission via Jean Monnet Programme activities (Erasmus +). It has also received financial support from Lobachevsky University of Nizhny Novgorod and the Research Centre CERAL (University Paris-13) via its project Globalcontest (ANR). There is no participation fee for the Conference.
