1. J'ai pris contact avec les representants

Geneve du Departement de l'Information, en particulier avec M. Ballou

( en l 'absence de M. Duckworth-Barker). 1:; M. Bal:a.ou s' est montre tout dispose

nous prater l'assistance de ses ser- vices selon un plan que je lui suggererai.

2. Cette question d'emissions sur les activites interna- tionass concernant les territoires dependants me semble d'une tres grande importance.

Il est certain que l'opinion publique en Europe, sol- licitee parses propres problemes, n'y attache,

l'heure actuelle, qu'une importance assez reduite.

Il est certain, d'autre part, que les sujets qui peuvent etre presentes et la faQOn dont ils le sont posent des questions tres delicates.

Il semble cependant desirable de laisser cette desaf- fection se prolonger et il ya certainement, dans ce domaine, m.atiere

des emissions interessantes.

3. Il me parait impossible, cependant, de proposer

• Ballou un programme quelconque avant d'avoir un a.ssenti- ment de principe de votre part.

Par ailleurs, en ce qui concerne les emissions elles- memes, les textes, semble-t-il,devraient etre communiques de New-York sinon dans leur forme definitive, tout au moins sous rorme de schemas au~quels le developpement pourrait etre donne sur place.
