The Feast of the Holy Family reminds us that it is in the family we experience the Mystery of God who has become one with us as he shows us the love and mercy of God through his death and resurrection. Just as Jesus grew in grace and wisdom with Mary and Joseph, we grow in faith within the family unit. It is in the family that we experience God’s love and mercy mirrored in the lives of parents and brothers and sister. It is in the family that we reverence the gift of life as a gift from God and it is there that we live our faith worshipping God through worship and service.
Thanks to all who, through their time and talents, enabled the parishioners and visitors to experience the Mystery and wonder of the birth of Christ: those involved in the music ministry, liturgical ministers, volunteers who prepared the churches for the celebration, our custodial staff, greeters, ushers, and parish sacristans. Your care for the liturgy and the churches aided in our worship of God in the sending of his Son, Jesus.
Please note that January 1st is the Solemnity of Mary, Moth- er of God. It is a holyday of obligation. Masses for the feast are: Monday (Dec. 31): 4:00 p.m. at St. Ann Church & Tuesday, January 1st: 10:00 a.m. at St. Philo- mena and 11:99 a.m. at St. Ann Church. There is still a need for readers and Eucharistic Ministers for the Masses. Please volunteer in the sacristy after Mass.
Congratulations to Noah Larson and Gerry Daher who re- ceive the Eagle Scout Award December 19th. They are to be congratulated for their service to the community and be- ing examples of the goals of the scouting program.
Please note: the parish offices will be closed Dec. 31 Jan.
2. The office will reopen January 3rd.
Parish calendars are still available for 2019. They are at the doors of the church.
May God fill your lives with peace in the year 2019.
Merry Christmas!

THEOLOGY ON TAP | HEIGHTS
Every FIRST Wednesday of the month, young adults in their 20’s and 30’s are invited to gather at Nighttown in Cleveland Heights (12387 Cedar Road, Cleveland 44106) at 7PM to hear an engaging speaker reflect on some aspect of the faith while enjoying a pint and some tasty food! Each night kicks off with a social, which includes complementary appetizers and a cash bar, followed by a speaker. Admission is only $5. Our next speaker onWednesday, February 6, 2019is Fr. Ryan Mann, parochial vicar at St. John Neumann parish in Strongsville. Fr. Ryan is not a stranger to TOT|Heights, in fact, he delivered the third talk way back in October 2016. We’re blessed to bring Fr. Ryan back! He is a master evangelist with a profound grasp of the human heart. Blending deep spirituality with a gutbusting sense of humor, Fr. Ryan will help us dive deep into the heart and de- sires of Christ with his talk,“Fig Leaves and Freedom ± The Human Journey of Redemption.” Theology on Tap is a great way for young adults, college students, and newly married cou- ples to go deeper in their faith and connect with other young Catholics in the area. For more information, please contact Fr.
