General Information - - . . .. -1 ...-■. ; ■ ,:. -..-..■ .- During the period 1963 - 1965* in spite of unfavourable circumstances, the overall activities of the Institut Geographique du Congo have pro

gressed satisfactorily. These activities are tabulated "below, and together with the maps attached, give a clear and succinct summary of achievement during the period under review,

^;,-t :.. The .acquisition of. important equipment enables us to,.look forward to the future with optimism, as this equipment .will, have.a favourable

effect either in increasing output and precision, or enabling the important work of aerial surveys to be resumed.

In the field of technical training for specialised staff, we have.

achieved appreciable results which will have a decisive effect upon'the

Summary of the main activities Photography

Works a new large-ssale survey of the,urban area of Kinshasa.

Equipment,?, the acquisition; of a Klimsch-Qommodore photographic reproduction camera, and a D.C.,3 aircraft. It will be possible to make use of the aircraft as from June 1966.
