Today we welcome a group of parishioners who have registered for the listening session of the SYNOD … Pope Francis has called all of the parishes of the world to meet , to listen and to discuss how the Church can better spread the Gospel of Jesus … the SYNOD is not about determining questions of faith and morals but the emphasis is on evangelizing, bringing the Good News to all people, welcoming people who have left the Church

… next week we will host a meeting of all 19 parishes in the Bronx East Deanery to present their parish ideas … a final report will be drawn up by Sister Mary Ann D’Antonio, SC based on these parish reports … the report goes to the Cardinal and then to the Pope … say a prayer for the SYNOD and our generous participants … may the Holy Spirit direct our efforts with the grace and light of a new Pentecost.
