RDAI-2021 Co-chairs’ Message

The AAAI 2021 Workshop on Reframing Diversity in AI: Representation, Inclusion, and Power was a one-day virtual event on February 9, 2021 at the 35th International Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence. It brought together academic and industrial researchers to explore, frame, and implement inclusive solutions across three topic areas:

o The use of technology to address systemic racism as a means to reduce historical barriers of opportunity

o The need for inclusion of members of key groups including Black and Latino individuals in the concept, design and testing of technical solutions

o Participation in key decision-making roles to influence all aspects of minority engagement

We sincerely thank the authors for all the submissions.
