RESOLUTION No. 365
APPOINTMENT OF DR. CARLOS E. AQUINO G.
AS DIRECTOR EMERITUS OF THE INSTITUTE
The INTER-AMERICAN BOARD OF AGRICULTURE, at its Eleventh Regular Meeting,
HAVING SEEN:
Article 15 of the Rules of Procedure of the General Directorate of IICA,
CONSIDERING:
That Dr. Carlos E. Aquino G., upon completion of his term of office on January 14, 2002, will have fulfilled the maximum term as Director General of IICA, as allowed in the Convention on the Institute;
That during his administration he has raised the Institute to the highest level of excellence and efficiency, to the benefit of the Member States;
That under his leadership, new and fresh ideas were put forth, and a process of transformation, modernization and strengthening of the Institute’s cooperation capabilities was undertaken, as a result of which the actions the Institute takes to comply with the mandates of the Member States reached new levels,
RESOLVES:
1. To recognize Dr. Carlos E. Aquino G. for his outstanding performance over the past eight years as Director General of the Institute.
2. To appoint with great pleasure Dr. Carlos E. Aquino G. as Director Emeritus of the Institute, as of January 15, 2002.
