Abstract

This research marked by "The efficiency of university scientific

research in the light of the standards of quality" falls in the descriptive

exploratory studies based on the description of the phenomenon and accurate description based on data and information collected from the reality of the phenomenon under study, then analyzing it and highlighting its elements and interpreting them.

This study aims to identify the extent of the efficiency of scientific research university in light of the standards of quality, where the problematic of this study deals with the fact that the challenges facing the Algerian universities in their functions in general, and scientific research in particular; and in light of the quality of higher education as a fundamental principle towards the direction of comprehensive development in the era of the knowledge economy. Therefore

- Showing the differences in the responses of teachers to identify the efficiency of scientific research university in light of the standards of quality depending on the variables (Gender- academic specialization - College).From this identification of the problematic, the hypotheses are formulated as follows: - We expect that the university scientific researches meet high degree of quality and efficiency standards from the perspective of university professors.

-No difference between the averages of university teachers' responses to the efficiency of university scientific research in the light of the quality standards depending on the gender variable (Male - Female).

- There is no difference between the average university professors' responses to the efficiency of university scientific research in light of the standards of quality depending on the variable of the faculty. (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Batna - Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Setif).

- There is no difference between the averages of university professors' responses to the efficiency of university scientific research in light of scientific quality standards depending on the variable of the academic specialization (psychology, sociology, history).

We've dealt with the problematic, and research's assumptions in a theoretical study included two chapters, and a field study included two phases:

- An exploratory phase:in which the construction and equipping of the study tools have been kept.

- An essential stage:was applied on the base of the results of the scoping study on a sample of (118) teachers chosen accidentally from the faculties of Humanities and Social sciences at Universities of Batna and Setif), according to the tools used in the collection of the data of the subject of this study, which were represented in the questionnairebuilt in the theoretical academic year in collaboration with the laboratory of the development of quality in higher education and secondary education's institutions and re-adapted from the student's part in the light of this study.

After data unload and getting the raw scores are tabulated, and the use of appropriate statistical laws and the use of statistical software (SPSS) to analyze this data and statistically treated, the study concluded according to the hypothesis to a number of findings, including:

- Results of the first general hypothesis showed that the university scientific research from the perspective of university professors did not meet the efficiency and quality indicators with a high degree. In other words, it was moderately efficient.

- Results of the first differential hypothesis show no differences in the responses of university professors to identify the efficiency of university scientific research according to gender.

- The results of the second differential hypothesis show the differences in the responses of university professors to identify the efficiency of university scientific research according to the academic specialization of the professor. - The results of the third differential hypothesis show the differences in the responses of university professors to identify the efficiency of university scientific research according to academic specialization of the professor.

- The results of the second differential hypothesis show the differences in the responses of university professors to identify the total efficiency of university scientific research.

In conclusion, the study confirmed the need to pay attention to university scientific research for the sake of the access to a high degree of efficiency and quality to achieve and ensure overall development.
